Chef de Partie | Weddings & Events | Part Time + Peak Season Hours

About the role

Working as part of a close-knit kitchen team at Potters Receptions, you'll be involved in preparation and service for weddings and events. This is a genuine part-time position offering a minimum of 24 hours per week, with the opportunity to increase your hours up to 38 hours per week during the busy wedding season. Wedding service can be fast paced, so we're looking for someone who is calm under pressure, organised and takes genuine pride in sending out great food.

Key responsibilities

• Preparing and producing food from seasonally changing menus

• Running your own section during service

• Preparing, cooking and plating food efficiently and consistently

• Maintaining presentation and quality standards during high-volume service

• Completing food temperature records and required kitchen documentation

• Maintaining excellent food safety, HACCP, hygiene and workplace safety standards

• Working collaboratively with both the kitchen team and other departments

• Assisting with kitchen set-up, close-down, cleaning and food storage

About you

• At least 2 years' experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar chef role

• Previous experience in high-volume weddings, functions or events

• A relevant Diploma qualification or equivalent substantial experience

• Strong culinary and knife skills

• Excellent attention to detail

• The ability to confidently manage your own section

• A positive attitude and strong work ethic

• Good communication and teamwork skills

• The ability to perform consistently in a fast-paced service environment

• Availability to work evenings and weekends as required
