Casual Cleaner - Downer Rail Maryborough

We currently have an opportunity for a self-motivated, reliable Cleaner at Downer Rail in Maryborough, QLD. This position will provide effective support to ensure the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of the daily cleaning services within an industrial site.

The requirements for the role are:

• The majority of the shifts will be casual day shifts from 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm 20 hours per week
• There will be opportunities to cover full-time morning shifts when permanent staff are on leave or absent

What you'll do
A day in the life of our Cleaner is incredibly diverse, and you can expect it will involve some of the following responsibilities:

• General cleaning of corridors, offices, lunchrooms
• Toilet cleaning
• Rubbish removal
• Support the Cleaning Supervisor ensuring contractual obligations are met in all aspects of cleaning.
• Maintain high quality and co-operative relationships with client staff in the assigned area.
• Display a strong level of team commitment whilst also having the ability to work autonomously where required.

What you'll bring

• 2-5 years cleaning experience within a commercial or industrial setting - Desirable
• Experience using commercial cleaning equipment and industrial cleaning products
• Knowledge and understanding of cleaning practices and Occupation Health and Safety procedures and legislation
• Experience, knowledge and understanding of commercial cleaning equipment
• Confident and professional, well-groomed and high level of personal hygiene
• Have a can-do attitude
• You'll be able to work independently
• Have highly developed attention to detail
• Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and establish timeframes.
