About the role

Working closely with our Optometrists and the rest of our team, you will play an important role in providing an excellent experience for our patients from the moment they book their appointment through to receiving their new eyewear.

Key responsibilities

• Assisting Optometrists with patient pre-testing

• Front desk and general administration

• Booking and managing patient appointments

• Providing exceptional customer service and patient care

• Helping patients select frames and lenses that suit their needs, lifestyle and personal preferences

• Learning about different lens technologies and recommending appropriate lens options

• Explaining lens options and eyewear recommendations to patients in a clear and easy-to-understand way

• Processing and managing customer eyewear orders

• Liaising with optical laboratories and suppliers

• Following up orders and ensuring customers receive their eyewear in a timely manner

About you

• Warm, friendly and genuinely enjoys helping people

• Confident and professional when communicating with patients

• A quick learner who is comfortable picking up new computer systems and software

• Technologically confident with strong general computer skills

• Naturally curious and interested in science, healthcare and how things work

• Able to quickly learn technical information and understand the principles behind different lens options

• Comfortable explaining technical information to patients in a simple and approachable way

• Organised, reliable and able to manage multiple tasks

• A team player who is happy to pitch in wherever needed

• Professional, well-presented and takes pride in their work
