Kallay Studios is a fast-growing creative studio specialising in Architecture, Commercial and Property media across Melbourne and the Gold Coast. We produce premium photography, cinematic video, and design-led content for some of the most exciting homes, developments and architecture practices in Australia.

We are looking for a Copywriter to join our Melbourne team on a casual basis.

If you have a strong understanding of language, an appreciation for architecture and design, and know how to turn a property into a compelling story, this could be for you.

Experience writing for property, architecture, interiors, design or luxury brands is highly regarded.

About the Role

You will be writing copy across a range of property and architecture types, from residential listings through to architecturally significant homes, developments and design-focused campaigns.

We are looking for someone who understands that great property copy is more than simply describing rooms and features. It should communicate the feeling, design intent, lifestyle and story behind a property.

You should be confident producing:

• High-quality residential property descriptions

• Architecture and design-focused copy

• Engaging property marketing narratives

• Headlines, introductions and feature descriptions

• Social media and campaign copy

• Copy that communicates design, materials, finishes and architectural intent

• Concise and compelling copy within strict word counts

• Multiple writing styles while maintaining a consistent brand voice

Bonus if you are interested in developing:

• Editorial or magazine-style property writing

• Architecture and design journalism

• Brand storytelling and campaign concepts

• Social media and digital content

• Creative direction and broader content development

We want someone who can make a property feel desirable on the page, not simply describe what is already visible in the photography.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of professional copywriting experience

• Strong written English and exceptional attention to grammar and detail

• Experience in property, architecture, interiors, design or a related creative industry is highly regarded

• Ability to write in a sophisticated, engaging and natural style

• Strong understanding of tone, structure and audience

• Ability to turn technical property information into compelling written content

• Comfortable working from briefs, photography, plans and supplied property information

• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects

• Professional communication and presentation

• Strong attention to detail and willingness to refine work based on feedback

You must be comfortable working independently while also contributing to a driven and creative team culture.
