About the Role:

The Apprenticeship will provide you with the skills and knowledge for a career as a Mechanical Engineering tradesperson.  You will learn a variety of skills including the design, manufacture, installation, modification, testing, maintenance and service of mechanical equipment. 

This is a full time fixed term apprenticeship program suited for school leavers. You will undertake formal studies at TAFE whilst being guided by professionals starting in January 2027

Qualifications and Experience: 

• Must be an Australian citizen and or permanent resident

• Demonstrated dedication to learning and education

• Willingness to learn and follow instructions

• Mechanically minded with a genuine interest in the trade

• Has a positive attitude to working in a safe and productive manner

The Process:

As part of One Rail Australia's recruitment and selection process, short listed applicants will be required to undertake required pre-employment checks and testing, inclusive but not limited to:

• Provide a recent national criminal history check

• Provide a Current Provisional Licence (C Class) 

• Undertake a Category 2 Rail Medical

• Reference checks

• Aptitude testing
