Primary & Secondary Teachers/Tutors | After School Learning Centre

Current Opportunities

We are currently recruiting teachers/tutors for the following programs:

Primary

• Prep–Year 2 Phonics & Early Literacy

• Year 1–6 English

• Year 1–6 Mathematics

Secondary

• Year 7–9 English

• Year 7–9 Mathematics

Applicants may specialise in one area or teach across multiple year levels.

About the Role

You will:

• Teach engaging small-group classes in English and/or Mathematics.

• Deliver lessons using BrightSpark's structured curriculum and comprehensive teaching resources.

• Inspire students to build confidence and achieve their academic goals.

• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.

• Work collaboratively with a friendly and supportive teaching team.

Preferred Qualifications

For Primary positions:

• Experience teaching or tutoring primary-aged students.

For Secondary positions:

• Experience teaching Years 7–9 English and/or Mathematics.

• Familiarity with the Victorian Curriculum.

The following will be highly regarded:

• Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) Registration

• Classroom teaching experience

• Previous tutoring experience

Priority Availability

We are currently giving priority to applicants who are available every Thursday from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Additional classes on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday are available depending on your availability and expertise.

Please note: This is an after-school teaching position, with classes primarily conducted on weekday evenings and Saturdays. Applicants seeking full-time daytime school positions may find this role unsuitable.
