We are searching for someone to take on the exciting role of Store Manager at our Opposite Lock in the heart of Toowoomba City. This is a key position within our organisation. The ideal candidate would have a strong foundation in management, leadership and customer service.

Purpose / Main area of Responsibilities

The Store Manager is to provide leadership to the Opposite Lock team providing supervision, training and coaching to all team members, while overseeing all operational functions of the store, including sale and fitment of Opposite Lock and other aftermarket accessories, ordering, warehousing, ensuring quality control and most importantly customer experience.

Responsibilities, tasks & duties include:

• Providing management, leadership and direction to Opposite Lock team members, aligning activities to the financial targets and operational goals of the Company. 

• Promoting the Opposite Lock store & the Opposite Lock brand in the wider community

• Monitoring the sales revenue, margin, and expense performance to maximise store performance 

• Recruiting, selecting, coaching and training of Opposite Lock team members

• Building and maintaining customer loyalty and support

• Ensure the secure storage of vehicles and keys, and the securing of  the Opposite Lock store at day end.

• Maintain a safe working environment, by ensuring all staff comply with Workplace Health & Safety guidelines.

• Ensure good working relationships with other Company departments.

• Carrying out storage and stock control procedures, including stocktake.

Skills and experience

• Proven experience in the Aftermarket Accessories supply and fitment industry or equivalent retail management experience combined with an interest in 4WD and outdoor adventure.

• Strong working knowledge of the vehicle accessory fitment industry

• Technical aptitude

• Highly developed customer and employee relations skills

• High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving.

• Strong organisational, administrative and communication skills.

• Proven ability to lead, train and develop staff confidence and abilities

• Customer service focused

• Commitment to Opposite Lock’s goals and operational standards.

• Current valid Qld drivers licence
