About the role

Hume Body Works' has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Spray Painter to join our team in Hume, ACT. This full-time role is responsible for providing high-quality spray painting services to a range of automotive clients. As a skilled Spray Painter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the exceptional finish of repaired vehicles.

What you'll be doing

1. Preparing vehicle surfaces for spray painting through sanding, masking and priming

2. Operating spray painting equipment to apply paint to vehicle panels and parts

3. Mixing paint colours to achieve the desired finish

4. Inspecting painted surfaces to ensure consistent quality and appearance

5. Maintaining a clean and organised work environment

6. Adhering to all workplace health and safety policies and procedures

What we're looking for

1. Proven experience as a Spray Painter in the automotive industry

2. Strong knowledge of spray painting techniques and equipment

3. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and specifications

4. Excellent colour matching and blending skills

5. Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work

6. Good problem-solving and critical thinking skills

7. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
