The positionWe're looking for an Assistant Finance Officer to join our Finance team, reporting to the Head of Finance. This is a part-time, casual role working 3 days per week, supporting the Finance team to enable timely and accurate financial reporting and management in support of Tiimely's strategy and organisational performance.You'll provide coordination and pro-active liaison with colleagues across Tiimely, and support the operational delivery of financial frameworks, forecasting, reporting, and financial processing, with a strong focus on excellent service.
Your other responsibilities will include:Reconciliation of bank statements and supplier statements.Supplier invoice processing and statement reconciliation.Maintaining the Fixed Asset Register.Administering Receipt Bank and Xero accounts payable.Corporate credit card administration, liaising with cardholders to educate and resolve queries.Resolving accounts payable queries with customers and partners.Maintaining accurate financial records of all receivable and payable transactions and verifications.Supporting the Financial Accountant with statutory reporting requirements, including preparation of Activity Statements (BAS, IAS) and payroll tax.Supporting the Financial Accountant with the monthly review of the general ledger, including expense accounts and GST transactions.Supporting the booking and management of companywide travel (flights and accommodation) in line with agreed policies and procedures.Supporting office management duties and ad-hoc projects as required.
What We're Looking ForRequiredHold, or be working towards, a relevant tertiary qualification in accounting, finance or commerce.Experience in a similar accounts payable, bookkeeping or finance support role.Working knowledge of Xero (or similar accounting software) and confidence using Excel.High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in financial record-keeping.Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing deadlines.A proactive, service-oriented approach, with strong communication skills to liaise effectively across the business.DesirableExperience administering Receipt Bank or similar expense management platforms.Exposure to BAS/IAS preparation or payroll tax processes.Experience in a fintech, financial services, or other regulated industry.
