Disability Support Worker (Asian)

JOB: Disability Support Worker

We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated support worker preferrably Asian to join our team. This role involves providing support and assistance to individuals in need, and the ability to support is essential for ensuring the well-being and mobility of our clients.

Responsibilities:

· Personal Care: Assist with toileting, showering, dressing, grooming, and mobility.

· Daily Living Tasks: Help with meal prep, cleaning, laundry, and shopping.

· Social and Recreational Activities: Support outings, events, sports, and hobbies.

· Health-Related Support: Monitor health and provide basic medical care.

· Emotional Support: Listen and create a supportive environment.

· Independent Living: Provide training in cooking, cleaning, and financial management.

· Medication: Administer or assist with medication according to policies.

· Documentation: Maintain detailed records, including daily logs and incident reports.

· Monitoring and Reporting: Report health changes and document support provided.

· Collaboration: Work with healthcare professionals and participate in support planning.

· Training & Development: Contribute to team meetings and ongoing training.

Desirable Qualifications:

· Certificate III in Individual Support

· Certificate IV in Disability

· Certificate IV in Aged Care

Security & Compliance Check:

· National Police Check

· Working with Children Check

· First Aid and CPR certification

· NDIS Workers Screening Check

· Driver's License and Comprehensive Car Insurance

Additional Details:

Pay: $32.00 – $40.00 per hour
