The opportunity

As the NSW Venue Optimisation and Creation Coordinator, you will help improve and grow the community football venue network across NSW.
Based in Sydney, you will coordinate facility data, grants, project documentation, financial administration and stakeholder actions to unlock greater participation from existing venues and support the evidence-led creation of new capacity where genuine gaps are identified.
Working with internal teams, local government, clubs, leagues, schools, venue operators and community organisations, you will help deliver connected and sustainable venue outcomes that enable more people to participate in the game.
What You’ll Own
You will coordinate the information, relationships and project activity that help improve venue access, utilisation and capacity across NSW.
You’ll Add Value Through
Preparing, administering and acquitting grant funding applications, agreements and supporting documentationCoordinating venue optimisation, enhancement and creation projects across the project lifecycleMaintaining accurate schedules, records, milestone documentation and outstanding actionsSupporting the operational management of priority venues, with a focus on access, utilisation, participant experience and sustainable community benefitTracking projects against agreed milestones and escalating emerging delays, risks, access barriers and information gapsManaging the Facilities Database and maintaining accurate venue, participation, access and utilisation informationCoordinating the annual audit of venues across NSW and the ACTWorking with local government, clubs, leagues, schools, venue operators and community organisations to improve facility access and maximise venue useSupporting shared-use arrangements and increased venue bookings, particularly across metropolitan SydneyContributing to the planning and development of new or increased venue capacity where evidence demonstrates sustained participation demand or a genuine network gapMaintaining accurate financial administration, including budget tracking, purchase orders, invoices, payment documentation and reconciliationsProviding occasional out-of-hours, event or venue support and contributing collaboratively across the Venue Network Enhancements & Partnerships Team
What You’ll Bring
Experience in administration, project coordination, grants administration, community sport, facilities support, planning or a comparable operational environmentStrong stakeholder coordination and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across local government, community clubs, schools, venue operators, community organisations and internal teamsSound organisational skills and judgement, including the ability to manage competing priorities, maintain accurate records and follow through on actionsCapability in working with facility, participation and financial informationExperience maintaining data and completing financial administration such as budget tracking, invoice processing, purchase orders or reconciliationsA practical and collaborative approach to improving venue access, utilisation and project processesThe ability to identify emerging risks, delays, access barriers and information gaps and raise them appropriatelyA commitment to supporting inclusive participation outcomes and delivering work with care, integrity and fairness
