Project Engineer

About the role

Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, the Project Engineer will play a critical role in the planning, coordination, administration and delivery of civil construction projects across Victoria. You will work closely with Project Managers, Site Supervisors, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and clients to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with project planning, programming and resource coordination

• Support project delivery from commencement through to completion

• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and project stakeholders

• Review drawings, specifications and project documentation

• Prepare and monitor project schedules and look-ahead programmes

• Assist with progress claims, variations and contract administration

• Monitor project costs, procurement and project performance

• Support quality assurance processes, ITPs and project documentation

• Conduct site inspections and provide technical engineering support

• Maintain accurate project records, reports and registers

• Promote and maintain strong safety and environmental performance across projects

About you

• Civil Engineering Degree, Construction Management qualification or equivalent experience

• Previous experience working on civil construction projects

• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications and project documentation

• Excellent planning, organisational and communication skills

• Sound knowledge of safety, environmental and quality requirements

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

• Current Driver's Licence

• Construction Industry White Card

• Experience in land development, subdivisions, roadworks, drainage, earthworks, or utilities infrastructure

• Experience using Microsoft Project or similar scheduling software
