Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Estimating Manager to lead our estimating team and play a key role in securing future projects and driving the strategic growth of the business.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Senior Estimator ready to step into management, or an established Estimating Manager looking to join a progressive and expanding company where your contribution will directly influence the company's success.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Directors, you will oversee the estimating function while preparing competitive tenders across a broad range of civil construction projects.

You will work closely with our operations team to ensure successful project handovers while identifying opportunities to improve systems, win work and strengthen client relationships.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the estimating department.

• Prepare accurate estimates and tender submissions.

• Review drawings, specifications and contract documentation.

• Develop construction methodologies and pricing strategies.

• Manage subcontractor and supplier pricing.

• Identify project risks and value engineering opportunities.

• Coordinate multiple tenders simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines.

• Attend site inspections and pre-tender meetings.

• Support project handovers and collaborate with delivery teams.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and suppliers.

• Mentor and develop junior estimators.

• Contribute to business development and strategic growth initiatives.

About You

You'll be an experienced civil construction estimator with strong commercial acumen and leadership capability.

Ideally you'll have:

• Extensive estimating experience within the civil construction industry.

• Experience pricing earthworks, drainage, pavements, concrete, roads and utilities.

• Previous leadership or mentoring experience (preferred).

• Excellent understanding of construction methodologies and project delivery.

• Strong negotiation and communication skills.

• Exceptional attention to detail.

• Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.

• Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar qualification (preferred).
