Role Title: Commercial Specialist:

Role Description:

The Commercial Specialist/s will provide expert commercial, procurement and contract management support for activities related to the delivery of Advanced Strategic Capabilities Accelerator (ASCA) UAS programs.

Key responsibilities: 

Procurement Strategy Development:
o    Design and implement fit-for-purpose procurement methodologies that support rapid on boarding and sustainment of UAS capabilities under the A6020 and  RAS at Scale Delivery Model.
 
Contracting Expertise:
o    Advise on and develop contracting options, including standing offers, panels, and performance-based models, to achieve value for money and operational flexibility.

Approach-to-Market Leadership: 
o    Support market engagement activities, including RFIs, RFTs, and industry briefings, ensuring compliance with Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) and Defence-specific policies.

Tender Development: 
o    Prepare comprehensive tender documentation, including Statements of Work, evaluation criteria, and contractual terms, aligned with RAS at Scale principles  for trusted and sovereign sourcing.

Risk and Compliance Management: 
o    Provide commercial risk analysis and ensure adherence to export control requirements, governance frameworks, and Defence ethical and legal obligations

Essential Requirements:

• Certificate IV in Procurement and Contracting

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to negotiate desirable outcomes

• Strong working knowledge of the ASDEFCON contract suite from initial tailoring through to in-service management

• Negotiation experience

• Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to engage collaboratively with  diverse stakeholders

• The ability to understand contractual artefacts and contract management plans to procure goods and services to meet complex stakeholder needs.

Desirable Requirements:

• A tertiary degree or higher in business, law, commerce, finance or similar

• Demonstrated knowledge of AIC Frameworks

Required Security Clearance Level: NV1

Location: Brisbane or Canberra

Hours: 80hr per fortnight, as agreed with client.
