About the role
The Opportunity
This is a rare opportunity to join the Metropolitan Cemeteries Board (MCB) in one of two newly created senior leadership positions that sit at the heart of our organisation.
As Director Operations, you will lead the delivery of funeral, burial, cremation and cemetery services across our cemeteries and memorial parks, ensuring families can honour and celebrate the lives of their loved ones with dignity, care and respect.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this role provides both strategic and operational leadership across a large, geographically dispersed workforce. You will lead through a team of Operations Managers and specialist coordinators, driving service excellence, workforce capability, operational performance, safety, compliance and continuous improvement across all sites.
You will champion innovation and continuous improvement, strengthen workforce capability, and foster a culture where safety, respect and customer service are at the centre of everything we do.
