Experienced Excavator/Forklift Operator

Dodd and Dodd Group Pty Ltd has over 50 years experience in dedicated scrap metal recycling throughout Western Australia. We consider ourselves market leaders for safe recycling, as well as on-site specialists for extensive clean-ups and responsible salvaging. Our specialty is effective site waste management, including hazardous waste. Our clientele range from small commercial developers right up to large mining ventures.

We are currently seeking an experienced and skilled Excavator/Forklift Operator to join our team in Forrestfield. This is a varied role and would suit someone that enjoys flexibility in operating different machinery when required.

Duties will include:

• Must have at least 12-18 months experience operating Long reach material handlers or similar plus operating a forklift (handling loads between 3 tonne to 22 tonne)

• Operate a range of machines from 22 tonne up to 50 tonne

• Moving and loading (as required) of various materials (namely metals and scarp) using blades and grabbers (material Handlers)  

• Assisting with loading/unloading and movement of metal products

• Supporting day-to-day yard operations

• Ensuring that all equipment is maintained and operated in a safe and efficient manner, and in accordance with OH&S and company policies

• Able to do Pre-starts each morning before commencement for the day (compulsory) 

• Ability to work independently and a forward thinker

• Reliable, team-focused, and safety-minded and looking for long-term opportunities

• Must be confident working in a busy environment and reliable to their team

• Full Time employment Monday - Friday and penalty rates apply

• Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug screen
