About Us
Anglicare NSW South, NSW West & ACT (Anglicare) is a not-for-profit organisation currently seeking Educational Leader to join our team in Calwell, ACT. We are deeply committed to the safety and wellbeing of all children, and we maintain zero tolerance for child abuse in any form.

About the Opportunity:
As an Educational Leader at Calwell Early Childhood Centre, you will support and guide Educators and Team Leaders and work together will all service leadership including the service Director to implement, evaluate and critically reflect on the formulation of high-quality play-based programs, in our Early Learning and Out of School Hours programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design, implementation and enhancement of high‑quality, play‑based educational programs aligned with approved learning frameworks (EYLF and My Time, Our Place).
Contribute to the service’s quality improvement processes, leading continuous improvement in educational programs and pedagogy.
Guide Educators through the planning cycle, including observation, assessment, reflection and forward planning for children’s learning and development.
Build Educator capability through mentoring, modelling best practice, reflective conversations and professional learning.
Build strong, respectful relationships with Educators, children, families and the wider community valuing their input and ensuring their involvement shapes the curriculum decision‑making.
Promote children’s physical, emotional, cultural and psychological safety at all times.
Provide support and guidance to Educators to embed everyday routines (mealtimes, care routines, transitions) as meaningful learning opportunities.
Ensure supervision plans, risk assessments and child‑safe practices are followed and regularly reviewed.
Collaborate with Anglicare’s team of Educational Leaders, based across Canberra, Googong and Goulburn.
Maintain current sector knowledge by engaging in professional development, networking and research.
Adherence to principles of the National Model Code (Taking Images or Videos of Children While Providing Early Childhood Education and Care), Early Childhood Australia’s Code of Ethics and Anglicare's Code of Conduct.
About You
You hold (or are actively working towards) an ACECQA‑approved Bachelor of Teaching in Early Childhood Education.
You have experience working with children in Early Learning environments.
You demonstrate a strong commitment to safeguarding children and upholding their safety and wellbeing at all times.
You have a solid understanding of the National Quality Framework (NQF), including the National Quality Standards (NQS), the Early Years Learning Framework, and the My Time, Our Place Framework for learning.
You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive, trusting relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
You bring energy, enthusiasm, and creativity to your work, along with a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
You are committed to Anglicare’s mission and values of integrity, inclusiveness, dignity, and compassion.
You hold a current First Aid certificate, or a willingness to obtain.
You have completed Child Protection Training, the following course codes are approved: CHCPRT001, CHCPRT002, CHCPRT025 or CHCPRT026.
You have a current Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) Card – ACT.
You have completed the foundation modules of the National Child Safety Training provided by the Australian Centre for Child Protection (prior to employment)
