Hairdressing Styling Specialist

About the role

As an Event Styling Specialist, you will work with SÈR SALON clients preparing for weddings, celebrations, events, shoots and other special occasions. You will consult with clients to understand their desired look, create tailored styling that complements their features, outfit and occasion, and deliver an exceptional salon experience from consultation through to final finish. You will represent the SÈR SALON aesthetic: sophisticated, modern, effortless and highly considered.

Key responsibilities

• Consult with clients to understand their event, personal style, outfit and desired outcome.
• Create elevated hair styling for weddings, events, parties, photoshoots and special occasions.
• Deliver polished blow-dries, waves, curls, up styles, ponytails, buns and other event-focused styling.
• Recommend styles that complement the client's face shape, hair type, outfit and overall aesthetic.
• Work confidently from reference images while adapting the look to suit the individual client.
• Maintain excellent attention to detail, particularly around finish, longevity and photography readiness.
• Complete styling efficiently while maintaining a calm, personable and premium client experience.
• Work collaboratively with the wider SÈR SALON team.
• Maintain a high standard of salon presentation, hygiene and professionalism.
• Stay current with contemporary hair, fashion and beauty trends while maintaining the distinctive SÈR SALON aesthetic.

• Proven professional experience in hair styling.
• Strong event and occasion styling skills.
• Confident blow-drying, curling, waving and finishing techniques.
• Experience creating styles that hold throughout an event and photograph beautifully.
• Excellent consultation and interpersonal skills.
• High attention to detail.
• Professional presentation and a genuine commitment to luxury service.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
• Strong time management and the ability to work to event deadlines.
• Confidence working with different hair types, textures, lengths and densities.
