Project Manager – Civil Experience | Northern NSW

About the role

Initially, you will be responsible for managing the Stage 1 civil works, including coordination of contractors, consultants, engineers, suppliers and site resources.

On completion of the initial civil works, there is an opportunity to continue the residential and commercial works. r

Key Responsibilities

Overall project management and delivery from commencement through to completion

Initial management of Stage 1 civil works, including programme, resources and subcontractors

Coordination of civil contractors, consultants, engineers and authorities

Managing project programmes, budgets, procurement and resources

Managing subcontractors and suppliers to achieve programme and quality outcomes

Project documentation, QA, WHS and environmental requirements

Managing variations, claims, EOTs and commercial matters

Coordinating consultants and design teams

Monitoring project costs, progress and programme performance

Identifying and resolving construction issues proactively

Maintaining strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders

Transitioning from the initial civil works into the delivery of the broader mixed residential and commercial development

About You

We are looking for a practical and commercially minded Project Manager with:

Proven experience as a Project Manager within the construction industry

Strong civil construction experience

Experience managing projects from early works through to completion

Strong programming, planning and contract administration skills

Sound understanding of construction methodologies and project delivery

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Ability to lead subcontractors, consultants and site teams

Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail

A hands-on approach and the ability to make decisions and resolve issues on site

A genuine desire to take ownership of a project and see it delivered successfully
