About the opportunity:

Reporting to the Manager, Humes Technical Services this is an exciting role in which you will prepare quality engineering drawings for precast concrete elements using AutoCAD and/or Revit software and other approved methods of drafting.

Detailed responsibilities are found in the PD which is available upon request and will include:

• Preparing engineering shop drawings of precast reinforced concrete elements using AutoCAD and/or Revit software, suitable for manufacture.
• Using relevant technical knowledge to analyse Drawings, Technical Specifications, and understand Construction Details.
• Working within a team.
• Self-checking / back-drafting.
• Updating reinforcement schedules.
• Preparing drawings are to meet requirements of the TS Quality System (with all drawings subject to contract review, verification and traceability).
• Provision of regular communication with customers (factories) to provide accurate project updates and to respond to queries.
• Preparing and maintaining accurate records of time spent on project drawings for weekly submission.

This role is integral to manufacturing, product and project work undertaken by Humes.

 About you:

• Qualifications equivalent to an Advanced Diploma from a Technical College (tertiary qualifications are desirable but not essential)
• Enrolled in / Completed / Completing Associate Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (ideal).
• Relevant drafting experience (Structural/Precast) preferred.
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
• A strong work ethic and the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Ability to prioritise work to meet competing deadlines.
• AutoCAD, Revit and other software as required for this role.
