Safety Emergency Response Training Advisor

Pantoro Limited is seeking an experienced Safety Emergency Response Training Advisor to join our team at our Norseman operations in Western Australia. This is a full time position based onsite, where you will play a crucial role in developing, delivering and maintaining our emergency response training programmes. This position is strategically important to our operations, ensuring that all personnel are equipped with the knowledge and skills to respond effectively to emergency situations and maintain a safe working environment across our mining operations. You will work closely with our Health, Safety and Environment team to champion a culture of preparedness and continuous improvement in emergency response capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver comprehensive emergency response training programmes tailored to our mining operations and workforce requirements

• Conduct regular training sessions, drills and simulations to ensure all personnel are competent in emergency response procedures

• Maintain and update training materials, manuals and documentation in line with legislative requirements and industry best practice

• Assess training effectiveness through evaluation and feedback mechanisms, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement

• Collaborate with operational teams to identify emerging risks and training needs related to emergency response scenarios

• Ensure compliance with relevant mining regulations, standards and internal safety policies pertaining to emergency preparedness

• Maintain detailed records of all training activities, attendance and competency assessments

• Support the development and implementation of emergency response plans and procedures across the site

• Liaise with external emergency services and training providers where appropriate

• Provide advice and guidance to site management on emergency response training matters and resource requirements

What we're looking for

• Substantial experience in emergency response training, safety training or a related discipline within the mining, resources or energy sector

• Proven expertise in designing and delivering training programmes to diverse audiences in high risk environments

• In depth knowledge of mining safety legislation, regulations and industry standards including emergency response requirements

• Strong understanding of hazard identification, risk assessment and emergency management principles

• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage and train personnel at all levels

• Demonstrated ability to evaluate training effectiveness and implement improvements based on feedback and outcomes

• Competency in developing training materials and documentation using various formats and technologies

• Sound knowledge of incident investigation and root cause analysis methodologies

• A proactive approach to health and safety with a genuine commitment to creating a safety conscious culture

• Relevant qualifications in occupational health and safety, training delivery, or emergency management would be advantageous

• Current First Aid certification and ideally emergency response or incident management certifications

• A willingness to work in a remote mining environment and adapt to operational demands
