Position overview
The ANU National Security College (NSC) is seeking a highly motivated Communications Officer to support a broad range of communications and marketing activities that promote the work of the College and strengthen engagement with key audiences.
Working under the broad direction of the Manager, Communications and Engagement, the Communications Officer will help plan, develop and deliver high-quality internal and external communications for major College initiatives, events, publications and stakeholder engagement activities.
The role suits an experienced communications professional with strong writing skills, sound judgement and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues across NSC, including staff working on major College initiatives and events, and will liaise with the central ANU Marketing and Communications to support media engagement and government relations activities.
The Communications Officer will also have the opportunity to contribute to the College's podcast, multimedia products, social media, website content and promotional campaigns. Experience using design and content production platforms such as Canva, Adobe Photoshop and other relevant tools will be well regarded.
About the College
The ANU National Security College is a unique joint venture between the Australian Government and The Australian National University. NSC sits within the Crawford School of Public Policy in the ANU College of Law, Governance and Policy.
NSC conducts programs relating to national security, international affairs, policymaking and Australia’s interests, including executive and professional development programs, postgraduate education, research, policy discussions, conferences and outreach.
