Part Time/ Casual general practice nurse

About the role

Family First General Practice is seeking a motivated and experienced general practice nurse (RN) to join our team in Canberra, ACT. As a casual or on contact PT general practice nurse,( hours and contract negatable1 you will be an integral part of our healthcare team, providing high-quality patient care and supporting our doctors in delivering exceptional medical services. Unable to accept Enrolled nurse applications as in GP, EN have to be supervised by RN and we don't have that supervision

What you'll be doing

• Assisting doctors with examinations, treatments , GP management plans, iron transfusion and minor procedures

• Performing routine nursing duties such as vaccinations, wound care, and health screenings

• Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation

• Ensuring the clinic is well-stocked with necessary medical supplies

• Providing compassionate and professional care to our diverse patient base

• Collaborating with the wider healthcare team to coordinate patient care

What we're looking for

• Registered nurse with a current AHPRA registration

• Minimum 1 years' experience working in a general practice or similar healthcare setting

• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of primary care nursing practices

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with patients and the healthcare team

• Proficient in using medical software and technology

• Specific proficiency in Best Practice medical software system required

• Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care

• Australian work authorisation required
