Technical Business Analyst

We’re Obzervr, a Brisbane-based SaaS company that helps mining and heavy industry organisations transform the way they manage assets and maintenance. Our Solutions Team takes customers from discovery through to a live, integrated solution – and we’re looking for a Technical Business Analyst to drive the definition, delivery and quality of integrations between our platform and our customers’ enterprise systems.

THE OPPORTUNITY

This is genuine end-to-end BA work, not order-taking. You’ll be the primary link between client stakeholders and our technical teams – running discovery workshops, shaping integration designs across ERP and CMMS platforms (think SAP, Pronto and comparable systems), owning quality assurance, and seeing your work go live with real customers in the field.

You’ll work side by side with solutions integration engineers and digitisation specialists in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team, with direct input into our product roadmap. You’ll also get hands-on exposure to AI-assisted ways of working – accelerating requirements analysis, documentation and test-case generation – with the tools and support to use them effectively and responsibly.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Acting as the primary liaison between client stakeholders and Obzervr’s technical teams, translating complex business needs into clear specifications and integration designs.
• Facilitating discovery workshops and requirements sessions to elicit, validate and manage functional and non-functional requirements.
• Documenting integration designs, data mappings and interface specifications connecting the Obzervr platform with customer enterprise systems.
• Owning quality assurance end-to-end: test cases, root cause analysis and UAT coordination with client teams.
• Partnering with the Product Team on backlog refinement and prioritisation, feeding customer insights into product planning.
• Applying AI-assisted tools to speed up requirements analysis, documentation and testing – while critically reviewing the outputs.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

• Proven experience analysing, specifying and delivering system integrations across enterprise platforms – for example ERP or CMMS solutions such as SAP or Pronto.
• Outstanding stakeholder management, communication, facilitation and influencing skills.
• Experience delivering projects in both agile and waterfall environments.
• Comfort using AI-assisted tools in your daily workflow, with an eye for validating outputs.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and a collaborative, outcomes-driven approach.

Bonus points for: experience in mining, resources or heavy asset-intensive industries (desirable, not essential); knowledge of APIs, middleware, data mapping or cloud platforms; a business analysis certification such as IIBA.

Salary Range (skills and experience based) $110,000 – $130,000 + super
