The Opportunity
We’re looking for an experienced Group Legal, Audit, Compliance and Risk Manager to join our team and help keep our business operating with strong governance, sound risk management and integrity.
This is a unique opportunity in the market, offering a rare opportunity to work across four critical functions, legal, audit, compliance and risk. Few roles provide this level of exposure across these areas, giving you genuine scope to influence the way the organisation manages governance, risk and compliance.
In this hands-on role, you’ll work closely with senior leaders and teams across Australia and New Zealand, providing practical legal advice and overseeing compliance, risk and internal audit activities. The role can be based in either Sydney or Brisbane.
Reporting to the General Manger - People and Governance, you’ll be responsible for:
Providing practical legal advice across commercial, regulatory and corporate matters.Managing legal disputes, investigations and external legal providers.Maintaining legal policies, contracts and risk processes.Developing and maintaining the enterprise risk management framework and corporate risk register, ensuring key risks are identified, assessed, monitored and effectively managed.Leading the annual internal audit program and coordinating with external auditors.Overseeing J-SOX compliance, control testing and audit actions.Maintaining our compliance framework, risk register and annual compliance program.Managing compliance investigations, supporting root cause analysis and driving corrective actions to address identified issues and strengthen controls.Supporting compliance training, investigations and risk reporting to senior leadership.Preparing high quality reports and providing clear, practical advice to management and key stakeholders, translating complex legal, risk and compliance matters into clear recommendations and supporting informed decision making.Building and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships across the organisation, with the ability to collaborate, influence and work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

About You
To be successful, you’ll be a qualified and admitted Australian lawyer with experience across legal, risk, compliance and/or internal audit. You’ll be commercially minded, confident working with senior stakeholders and able to turn complex requirements into practical business solutions.

Strong experience preparing reports and providing advice to management and key stakeholders, with the ability to communicate complex matters clearly and provide practical recommendations.Proven ability to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships across the organisation, including the ability to collaborate, influence and work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate issues, identify root causes and drive practical corrective actions.The ability to work across multiple functions and influence outcomes in a complex organisation.
