Trade qualified Electrician – Team Member

Join our onsite maintenance team and play a key role in keeping a busy meat processing facility operating safely and efficiently.

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Electrical Technician to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified electrician who enjoys hands-on work, fault finding, preventative maintenance and working as part of a supportive team.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out extra-low voltage (ELV) and low-voltage (LV) electrical work, including basic electronics breakdown repairs, maintenance and servicing.
• Fault find and diagnose electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Respond to breakdowns and complete repairs in a timely and safe manner.
• Maintain equipment and the facility to a high standard of presentation and functionality.
• Work closely with contractors, staff and other team members while providing a high level of customer service.
• Follow workplace health, safety and compliance requirements.
• Demonstrate a flexible and proactive approach to daily maintenance requirements.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will have:

• Electrical Trade Qualification – essential.
• Previous electrical maintenance experience, preferably within a high-paced meat processing or industrial environment.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
• Experience with electrical maintenance, servicing and breakdown repairs.
• Ability to safely use power tools.
• Forklift and EWP/scissor lift experience or licences highly desirable.
• The physical capability to safely move and work around equipment.
• A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A self-motivated, reliable and responsible approach to work.
• The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
