Food Services Assistant

We’re currently welcoming new residents at The Orchards Community in Doncaster East and have Permanent Part Time opportunities available for experienced Food Service Assistants! These are flexible roles spanning morning and afternoon across weekdays as preferred.

THE ROLE

Assisting the Head Chef to deliver high-quality, hands-on kitchen operations aligned with each resident’s specific dietary requirements.

Every day looks a little different, but the focus is always the same: the person in front of you.

• Deliver meals across the residence
• Support the home in line with service standards and Food Safety Program Guidelines
• Build respectful relationships with residents, families, and external stakeholders
• Contribute to continuous improvement across the home

ABOUT YOU

You’re reliable, compassionate, and bring genuine energy to every shift.

• Relevant Industry Training – Food Handling and Hygiene Certificate
• 12 months’ experience working in a residential aged care facility (Desirable)
• Honest, reliable, and attentive to detail
• Flexible and positive — comfortable working across a variety of shifts across weekdays (preferred)
• National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
• Proof of working rights in Australia
• Willingness to complete a medical assessment to confirm physical capability for the role
