Chandlery & Boating Accessories Advisor

About the role

As our Chandlery Advisor at Melbourne Marine Centre, you will be responsible for assisting customers in our chandlery and accessories department, maintaining stock and displays, and supporting the broader sales and service teams. You'll help customers select everything from essential safety equipment and boating accessories through to fishing gear, high end electronics and general marine products.

Key responsibilities

• Provide friendly and knowledgeable customer service

• Assist customers in selecting marine accessories and boating equipment

• Process sales and customer orders

• Answer customer enquiries in-store and by phone

• Maintain attractive and well-organised product displays

• Receive, unpack and put away stock

• Assist with stocktake and inventory control

• Monitor stock levels and identify products requiring replenishment

• Price and merchandise products

• Assist with online orders and enquiries where required

About you

• Previous retail, marine, automotive or customer service experience

• An interest in boats, fishing and marine products

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• A friendly and approachable personality

• Good attention to detail

• Strong organisational skills

• Basic computer and point-of-sale skills

• The ability to work independently and as part of a team

• A reliable, positive and hardworking attitude

• A current driver's licence
