About the role
Western Stabilisers, based in Corrigin, Western Australia, is seeking skilled, safety-focused and dedicated Plant Operators to join our growing team.
We are currently seeking operators with experience in one or more of the following roles:
Stabiliser Operator
Spreader Operator
Watercart Operator
Multi-Skilled Plant Operator
These positions operate on a Drive-In Drive-Out (DIDO) roster from Corrigin. Meals and accommodation are provided while employees are working at the project site and on roster.
Safely operate and maintain stabilisers, spreaders, watercarts and other heavy plant and equipment
Complete daily pre-start inspections and report equipment defects promptly
Perform routine equipment checks and basic operator maintenance
Follow project plans, work instructions and specifications to ensure accurate and efficient operations
Work collaboratively with supervisors, ground crews and other operators
Assist with general site duties when required
Complete required operational and safety documentation
Comply with all company policies, site rules and relevant work health and safety requirements
Contribute to completing projects safely, efficiently and within the required schedule
Demonstrated experience operating heavy vehicles or mobile plant, preferably within the civil construction, road construction or stabilisation industry
A current minimum HR or HR-B driver’s licence
Relevant plant operating competencies, tickets or licences for the equipment being operated
Sound knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements
Ability to complete daily inspections and identify or report equipment defects
Ability to follow project plans, instructions and specifications
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Reliable, punctual and willing to work away from home as part of a DIDO roster
Ability to pass any required pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol screening and licence checks
Experience operating stabilisers, spreaders or watercarts will be highly regarded; however, applicants with transferable heavy plant experience are also encouraged to apply.
