The Delivery Driver is responsible for safely loading, transporting, and unloading fresh produce, gourmet items, and flower arrangements to stores, wholesale customers, and other delivery locations. Day-to-day tasks include checking delivery orders for accuracy, handling products with care, operating delivery vehicles in line with company and road safety standards, and maintaining cleanliness of the vehicle. The role may involve liaising with customers upon delivery, supporting warehouse staff with stock movement, and assisting with general logistics tasks as required. Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and peak trading periods is expected.Qualifications Strong Customer Service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and team members.Competency in Forklift Operation and safe handling of pallets and stock (current forklift licence highly regarded).Experience in Training or mentoring team members on delivery procedures, safety, or warehouse processes.Background in Sales and Food & Beverage environments, particularly fresh produce or grocery retail, is beneficial.Valid driver’s licence with a good driving record and confidence operating delivery vehicles.Ability to lift and move cartons and crates of produce safely; good physical fitness for manual handling tasks.Strong time management and organizational skills, with attention to accuracy in orders and documentation.Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
