The Role We're looking for an experienced Commercial Manager to join a Defence integration program team in Melbourne. This is a great opportunity for a commercial professional to lead procurement activities and contract management across a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.You'll work closely with project management, engineering and military stakeholders, exercising a strong degree of independence to shape procurement approaches and manage contracts through their lifecycle.

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop procurement methodologies and contracting options that deliver value-for-money outcomesDevelop tender documentation and lead or support tendering and evaluation activitiesProvide expert advice on procurement methodologies, tender development and evaluation criteriaConduct or facilitate contractual liability workshops and risk allocation analysisDevelop and operate contract management processes to track performance, variations and financial status
RequiredCurrent NV1 security clearanceRelevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent industry/domain experienceDetailed procurement methodology and contracting experience with Government and private organisationsUnderstanding of the Defence Procurement Policy Manual, Commonwealth Procurement Rules and ASDEFCON suiteExperience delivering Defence projects, including logistically complex environments
