F&B Supervisor

We are currently looking for an exceptional individual to join the team as a full-time F&B Supervisor. 

Working closely with the F&B Manager, the F&B Supervisor will be tasked to supervise the team and the operations of our food and beverage outlets: restaurant, bar, banqueting and in-room dining.  This is a hands-on role, being involved in the day to day service elements of food and beverage: opening and closing, ordering stock, assisting with rosters, overseeing preparation and service, handling cash and maintenance of equipment to ensure the outlet operations run smoothly.

Duties include but not limited to:

• Lead by example; champion exceptional hospitality and ensure that it is part of everything we do

• Assist management in training and development of the food and beverage team members and provide the necessary support and guidance for our team to thrive in their roles

• Be driven and innovative; inspire the team to achieve key targets, and to continuously look for ways to improve the service we provide

• Ensure all shift team members are briefed on key happenings, special requests, and any potential issues before they arise

• Assist the team in solving any guest issues or complaints; encouraging the team to use their initiative and our empowerment guidelines

• Ensure that all shift team members conduct themselves in a manner consistent with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety practices

• Be environmentally aware and look for ways to lessen the environmental impact within food and beverage.

• Demonstrate excellent team work by collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.

• Supervision of banquets.

To be successful in this role you should:

• Have previous experience within a multifaceted food and beverage supervisory role; ideally within a hotel environment

• Have previous experience as a mixologist or bartender (highly desirable)

• Good time management skills and an ability to prioritise and multi-task.

• Have flexibility to work shifts, inclusive of week days, weekends, public holidays, nights and early morning starts

• Be able to take management direction and works well with a team to achieve goals

• Have demonstrated success in working with and achievement of service targets

• Have strong administration and communication skills

• Have unrestricted Australian working rights

• Hold Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate.

• First aid certificate an advantage, but not required.
