Oral Health Thearapist or Hygienist - Orthodontics

For more than 40 years, Midland Orthodontists has been creating confident smiles throughout the community. We combine specialist orthodontic expertise and advanced digital technology with genuine, patient-centred care.

We’re looking for a warm, enthusiastic and patient-focused Oral Health Therapist or Hygienist to join our supportive clinical team on a part-time basis, ideally 2–4 weekdays per week.

You’ll have the opportunity to work alongside all of our Orthodontists and become part of a fun, collaborative and very supportive team.

Working alongside our Specialist Orthodontists and experienced clinical team, you’ll play an important role in supporting patients throughout their orthodontic journey and delivering high-quality patient care.

Orthodontic experience is preferred, however, we’re also open to speaking with clinicians who have a genuine interest in orthodontics and are keen to develop their skills within a specialist practice.

• Supporting orthodontic treatment appointments

• Preparing patients for braces-on and braces-off appointments

• Fitting orthodontic appliances, including expanders, braces and aligners

• Issuing aligners and bonding attachments

• Fitting retainers

• Assisting with aligner and retainer reviews

• Reviewing and monitoring patient progress

• Providing oral hygiene instruction and patient education

• 3D digital scanning and maintaining accurate clinical records

• Working closely with our Orthodontists and wider clinical team

• Providing a warm, professional and patient-focused experience at every appointment

• Contributing positively to the friendly team culture

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Qualified as an Oral Health Therapist or Hygienist with current AHPRA registration

• Experienced in private practice, ideally with some orthodontic experience

• Warm, friendly and confident when communicating with patients

• Professional and patient-focused

• Organised, reliable and attentive to detail

• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team

• Proactive and eager to continue developing professionally

• Someone who enjoys working in a positive, fun and supportive environment

Orthodontic experience is preferred, but we’re happy to consider the right person who has a strong interest in orthodontics and a willingness to learn.

• Part-time hours, ideally 2–4 weekdays per week

• 8:30am–5:00pm

• No late nights or weekends
