Quarry and Mobile Plant Operator

This is a hands-on role working across our quarry and mobile crushing operations throughout South Australia. The successful applicant will operate a range of mobile plant and crushing equipment while supporting safe, efficient and productive site operations.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, looks after the equipment they operate and is willing to contribute wherever needed.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Operating mobile plant such as front-end loaders, excavators, articulated dump trucks and other quarry equipment

• Operating and monitoring mobile crushing and screening plant

• Feeding crushing and screening equipment and managing material flow

• Loading trucks and managing product stockpiles

• Completing daily pre-start inspections and reporting faults or maintenance requirements

• Assisting with basic plant maintenance, servicing and minor repairs within your level of competency

• Monitoring plant performance and identifying operational issues

• Maintaining clean and safe plant, work areas and access routes

• Assisting with plant mobilisation, setup and demobilisation when required

• Completing production records, inspection forms and other site documentation

• Following site safety, environmental and quality requirements

• Participating in toolbox meetings, risk assessments and safety inspections

• Supporting other team members and completing general quarry duties as required

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience operating mobile plant in a quarry, crushing, mining, civil construction or similar environment

• Experience with crushing and screening plant, or a strong willingness to learn

• Relevant plant competencies or tickets

• A current White Card

• A current Australian driver’s licence

• Strong mechanical awareness and the ability to identify plant faults

• A sound understanding of pre-start inspections and basic plant maintenance

• A strong commitment to workplace safety

• The ability to work effectively as part of a small team

• A reliable, practical and self-motivated approach

• The ability to follow instructions and work with limited supervision

• Flexibility to work overtime and travel to regional South Australian sites when required

An HR or higher-class driver’s licence and experience operating loaders, excavators or articulated dump trucks will be highly regarded.
