About the role
We are seeking an experienced Senior FP&A Analyst to build and optimise financial models to support the business growth. The role reports directly to the Head of FP&A and plays a pivotal role in budget formulation, delivering accurate financial reporting and supporting decision-making through advanced analysis. The ideal candidate will have exceptional attention to detail, strong financial modelling, forecasting and analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Modelling: Build, refine, and maintain complex financial models to support annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, long-term planning, and strategic projects (e.g., M&A)Commercial Analysis: Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and business cases to support business initiatives, investment proposals and transformation projects. Analyse financial and operational performance, evaluate key SaaS metrics, and provide data-driven insights and recommendations to optimize business outcomes.Data Automation & Integration: Drive FP&A efficiency by building, automating, and maintaining robust data workflows using Alteryx, Anaplan, and AI tools. Continuously identify process improvement opportunities while ensuring high data quality and integrity across all core business systems.Financial Reporting & Visualisation: Design, build, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards to track business performance. Support the preparation of high-impact reporting materials for executive leadership and the Board.Budgeting and forecasting: Support the execution of the annual budget cycle, rolling monthly/quarterly forecasts, and assist with ongoing financial model management within Anaplan.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with FP&A, wider finance team and business unit leaders (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Operations) to understand their data needs and provide insights.
Key Performance Indicators:
ARR Alteryx workflows – run monthly within the specified deadlines Financial models – continuously updated.Ad hoc analysis – completed within set deadlines.Reporting – Ensure all reports and dashboards are updated on timeBI Tool Proficiency: Achieve intermediate competency using BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Alteryx) within six months.Maintain ≥ 90% accuracy.
Skills & Attributes:
Relevant tertiary qualification in finance, accounting, economics, commerce, business or a related discipline (CA/CPA/ACCA qualified).5+ years of experience in FP&A, commercial finance, investment banking, transaction services or a similar analytical role. Proven experience in financial modelling, forecasting, and data analysis.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.Advanced proficiency in Excel, experience with financial software and data visualization tools (Alteryx, Power BI, Anaplan, Netsuite preferred).Ability to manage competing priorities, work independently and deliver high-quality outputs in a fast-paced environment. Experience in a subscription, SaaS, technology or other recurring-revenue business looked upon favourably.
