About the role
Company Description ASK Healthcare exists to provide access to specialist speech pathology services that were previously unavailable in local communities. By offering specialist services, the team supports busy health professionals in the region, helping them deliver quality care while simplifying the experience for patients.Role Description This is a full-time Speech Pathologist role based in Tamworth, NSW, offered on a hybrid basis with some work-from-home flexibility. The Speech Pathologist will assess, diagnose, and manage communication and swallowing disorders across a diverse client population, providing evidence-based therapy in clinic, community, and telehealth settings. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting comprehensive assessments, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, monitoring progress, and documenting clinical findings in line with professional and organizational standards. The role involves collaborating with clients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams, delivering education and training to support preventative care, and contributing to service development and quality improvement initiatives. The Speech Pathologist will also participate in case conferences, maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices, and support outreach activities that increase access to specialist speech pathology services in the region.Qualifications Demonstrated skills in Speech Therapy and management of Communication Disorders.Experience working with Language Disorders, including assessment and intervention across age groups.Competence in the assessment and treatment of Dysphagia and related swallowing difficulties.Ability to provide client-centered care, including culturally safe and trauma-informed practice.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech Pathology (or equivalent) and eligibility for membership with Speech Pathology Australia.Current professional registration or certification as required, and compliance with relevant local regulations.Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to educate clients, families, and care teams.Capacity to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and independently in a hybrid work environment.Organizational and time-management skills, including accurate record-keeping and caseload management.Experience in community or rural health settings and an interest in preventative, community-focused care are highly regarded.
