The Opportunity

We’re looking for experienced Heavy Diesel Fitters to join our Karratha-based workshop team.

Working from our local workshop, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing a diverse fleet of heavy plant, trucks and specialised rail equipment to keep our operations running safely and efficiently.

This is a local position working a 5:2 roster (Monday–Friday), allowing you to be home every night.

Heavy Diesel Mechanic (HD Fitter)

Key responsibilities include:

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing heavy plant, trucks and specialised rail equipment

• Diagnosing mechanical faults and carrying out repairs

• Completing preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing

• Maintaining accurate maintenance records

• Working safely in accordance with company procedures

Experience with the following equipment is highly regarded:

• Liebherr, CAT, Volvo and Hitachi loaders and excavators

• Isuzu and MAN medium to heavy rigid trucks

• Tippers, water carts and ancillary equipment

• Hi-rail and rail attachment systems (desirable)

Requirements:

• Relevant Heavy Diesel Mechanical Trade Qualification

• Previous experience in a workshop or field service environment

• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills

• Current Australian Driver's Licence

• Forklift Licence (desirable)

• Ability to supply your own tools
