Program Manager

About the role

This position will have overarching responsibility for the management of Australian Passive Antimicrobial Resistance Surveillance (APAS) and National Alert System for Critical Antimicrobial Resistances (CARAlert) across several key areas including program management, financial management, strategic oversight and planning and stakeholder engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Program and financial management of APAS and CARAlert end to end

• Strategic oversight and planning, partnering with the AURA Program Manager to shape the program's national direction

• Contract and vendor management with external service providers — driving systems functionality, data collection and data quality

• Data, reporting and data governance leadership across both systems

• Own annual and ad hoc reports, and review briefs, publications, dashboards and resources

• Committee management and high-level advice on AURA developments

• Leadership of team members and contractors

About you

• Proven program management experience delivering complex, multi-stakeholder programs

• Strong financial management, strategic planning and governance capability

• Confident managing external contracts and service providers

• Excellent stakeholder engagement — able to align local, national and international priorities

• Experience in health, surveillance, data or public-health programs highly regarded

• A current Baseline (AGSVA) security clearance is required. Applicants must hold, or be eligible to hold, this clearance to be considered.
