Location – Rockhampton
Your new role
Rockhampton Regional Council are seeking expressions of interest for casual Gardeners to join our dynamic teams across the region.
The primary aim of this position is to carryout horticultural and arboriculture tasks in the planning, development and maintenance of community usage areas including parks, open spaces, sports fields, associated facilities and other areas within the Rockhampton Region.
Day to day work will include general maintenance of parks, reserves, road reserves, streetscapes and/or sports fields, including but not limited to mowing, whipper snipping, weeding, mulching, blowing, herbicide application, irrigation, planting trees and shrubs and labouring.
This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).
What we are looking for
Experience in horticulture or labouring.
Team player who enjoys working outdoors and physical work.
Willingness to work and learn the full range of roles and responsibilities within the team.
Safety focussed and the ability to identify hazards and risks on the worksite.
