About the role
Role Description The People & Culture Business Partner is a 5-month parental leave cover contract commencing in mid-September 2026 (flexible). The role can be performed remotely or in a hybrid arrangement, with flexibility to work 3 to 5 days per week depending on the successful candidate's availability.
As the primary P&C partner across Australia and Japan, you'll work closely with business leaders and our Germany-based P&C Business Partner to provide continuity across a broad generalist portfolio. Key priorities include business partnering, employee relations, supporting our Hibob implementation, leading our employee engagement survey, managing immigration and compliance matters, and delivering core people programs such as performance, remuneration and policy development.
A structured handover, comprehensive documentation and a People Roadmap are already in place to support a smooth transition.
QualificationsProven experience as a Senior HR Generalist or People & Culture Business Partner in a fast-paced environment.Strong working knowledge of Australian employment legislation, Fair Work and modern awards, with confidence managing employee relations matters independently.Experience partnering with senior leaders and coaching managers on people matters.Experience with HRIS implementation or optimisation, ideally Hibob.Exposure to immigration or international HR is highly regarded.Comfortable working autonomously while collaborating with global stakeholders across multiple time zones.Experience in technology, engineering, research or other high-growth organisations is advantageous.
