Shopfitter / Site Supervisor

About the role

You will manage sites from establishment through to handover, coordinating trades and carrying out installation works, while ensuring all work meets strict quality, programme, and safety standards. This is a hands-on supervisory position suited to a tradesperson ready to take ownership of some sites. You will still be on the tools, while running the day to day delivery of high quality fit-outs in various sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Supervising and coordinating subcontractors and trades on site

• Installation of cabinetry, fixtures, fittings and light carpentry works

• Reading and interpreting plans, technical drawings, and specifications

• Managing site programme, sequencing, and daily labour allocation

• Site establishment, inductions, SWMS review, and toolbox talks

• Quality control, progressive inspections, defect management, and handover

• Liaising with project managers, clients, building management, and consultants

• Ordering materials, collecting and delivering materials between sites, and monitoring deliveries against programme

• Maintaining site diaries, photos, and progress reporting

• Ensuring compliance with WHS regulations and site protocols

About you

• Proven shopfitting experience, ideally within various sectors

• Prior supervision or leading hand experience on commercial fit-out sites

• Strong attention to detail and high quality workmanship

• Confident communicating with trades, clients, and building management

• Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities

• White Card

• Trade qualification in Carpentry or Shopfitting

• Current Australian driver's licence

• Own tools

• First Aid
