About the role
Cancer Council WA is Western Australia’s leading cancer charity, working across every aspect of every cancer. We know that tackling cancer takes all of us. Together, we support families affected by cancer when they need it most, speak out on behalf of the community on cancer issues, empower people to reduce their cancer risk, and find new ways to better detect and treat cancer. With your help, we’re getting closer to a future without cancer. It’s all of us against cancer.
We are seeking a part-time Caretaker to work within the Accommodation Services team across our two accommodation facilities, Milroy Lodge in Shenton Park and Crawford Lodge in Nedlands.
The two busy accommodation lodges provide country cancer patients and their carers with subsidised accommodation whilst attending treatment. Reporting to the Accommodation Services Manager, you will be responsible for providing reception and administration support to our accommodation facility.
This part-time position will commence in August 2026 and offers a unique roster of one week on, one week off, working from Friday to Friday.
Based in Shenton Park and/or Nedlands, this position is part-time working 33 hours a fortnight.
During each rostered fortnight, you will be required to complete 33 administration hours.
Monday to Friday: 4:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Saturday: 8:00 am – 12:00 pm
Sunday and public holidays: 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm
In addition to these hours, you will be required to provide on-call support during additional out-of-hours periods, including public holidays, throughout your rostered-on week.
Fully furnished live-in accommodation is provided for the duration of your rostered-on week.
