About the opportunity
Based on the Sunshine Coast, the Technical Sales Representative - Hardware is responsible for driving sales and market presence of the assigned product line through retail distribution channels. The role focuses on strengthening store relationships, ensuring product availability, and supporting store teams through training and product knowledge.
About the role
Develop and grow sales within the designated territory through effective account management, business development and customer engagement activities
Identify and develop retail distribution channels for the assigned product line
Conduct regular store visits to provide customer service, support, and product training
Deliver product demonstrations and communicate features and benefits effectively
Monitor and report on competitor activity and market trends
Ensure agreed product range is stocked and maintained at optimal levels in stores
Build strong relationships with store personnel to support sales growth
Provide feedback from stores to internal teams to support continuous improvement
Ensure merchandising standards and product presentation meet company expectations
Maintain accurate records of store visits, sales activity, and insights in CRM systems
Recommend promotional initiatives with retail partners
Assist with demand forecasting and inventory planning
Identify opportunities for expanding shelf space and product placement.
About you
Minimum 5 years’ experience within product line, or related construction sectors
Demonstrated experience in technical sales, preferably within distribution and retail environments
Presentation and training skills
Experience providing technical support and solutions to clients
Commercial awareness and market analysis capability
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
Must be self-motivated and able to work independently
Must possess basic organisational and time management skills
Valid and current motor vehicle driver license
Existing industry relationships and specification exposure highly regarded.
