Solar & Battery Electrician – Relocate to the Coast (Relocation Package)

About the role

Shoalhaven Solar Energy Solutions is seeking a skilled Solar & Battery Electrician to join our expanding team on the New South Wales South Coast. This is a full-time position based on the beautiful NSW south coast. Key responsibilities

• Installing, maintaining and diagnosing faults on solar photovoltaic systems for residential and commercial clients

• Installing and commissioning battery energy storage systems and associated electrical components

• Performing electrical work in accordance with Australian electrical standards, regulations and safety codes

• Conducting site assessments and surveys to determine system requirements and optimal installation approaches

• Testing and certifying completed installations to ensure they meet safety and performance standards

• Providing technical support and troubleshooting for customers experiencing system issues

• Maintaining accurate installation records, documentation and compliance certificates

• Adhering to all health and safety protocols, including working at heights and managing site hazards

• Collaborating with team members and project managers to ensure installations are completed on time and to specification

• Staying current with industry developments, new technologies and best practices in solar and battery systems

What we're looking for

• Valid electrical trade qualifications and current Australian licence as a qualified electrician

• Proven experience installing and maintaining solar photovoltaic systems

• Experience working with battery energy storage systems and DC electrical components

• Strong knowledge of Australian electrical standards (AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 4777 and relevant solar installation guidelines)

• Current First Aid certification and Working at Heights certification

• A clean driving licence and willingness to travel across the service region

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Strong communication abilities and a customer-focused approach

• A commitment to health and safety in the workplace

• Willingness to relocate to the Shoalhaven region with support from our relocation package
