Practice Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Practice Manager to join Australia Dental Clontarf.

This is a full-time position based in Clontarf, QLD 4019, where you will take on a pivotal operational and administrative leadership role within our dental practice.

As Practice Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the practice, ensuring efficient operations, exceptional patient care coordination, and a positive working environment for our clinical and support staff. This role is essential to the success of our practice and directly impacts our ability to deliver outstanding dental services to our patients.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily practice operations and ensure smooth running of all administrative functions

• Manage practice staff recruitment, scheduling, training and performance management

• Handle financial management including billing, accounts payable and receivable, budgeting and financial reporting

• Coordinate patient scheduling and appointment management to optimise practice efficiency

• Maintain compliance with dental practice regulations, health and safety standards, and privacy legislation

• Implement and maintain quality assurance procedures and practice protocols

• Manage patient relations and address patient concerns professionally

• Supervise front desk and administrative staff operations

• Liaise with clinical staff regarding practice needs and patient flow management

• Maintain accurate dental practice records and documentation

• Manage inventory, supplies and equipment ordering

• Develop and implement marketing initiatives to attract and retain patients

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Practice Manager or similar administrative leadership role within a dental practice or healthcare environment

• Strong knowledge of dental practice management software and computer systems

• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams

• Knowledge of dental practice regulations, compliance requirements and Health and Safety standards

• Customer service excellence with a patient-focused approach

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general administrative software

• Problem-solving abilities and sound business judgment

• Professional and reliable with strong attention to detail

• Experience in a similar sized dental practice is preferred
