About the role:

As a trailer mechanic, you will ensure the safety and reliability of heavy vehicles by performing expert maintenance, servicing and repair operations.

Your responsibilities will include:

·       Servicing of heavy commercial trailers

·       Fault find and repair suspension and brake air systems

·       ABS/ EBS fault finding

·       Servicing and repair of heavy commercial vehicle suspension systems and brake reline

·       Test and repair basic electrical circuits

·       Fault find and repair air and hydraulic control systems

·       Accurately complete all paperwork associated with repair and maintenance

·       Engage in diverse responsibilities that change daily, allowing you to apply existing skills and develop new ones.

We are looking for someone with:

·       Trade qualifications; Certificate III (or higher) in Heavy Commercial Trailer Technology, or Engineering

·       Forklift licence and HR licence or higher (preferred, although not essential)

·       Hydraulic, pneumatic and welding experience are advantageous

·       Excellent attention to detail, and a strong work ethic

·       Good oral and written communication skills

·       The ability to work independently on tasks, but also within a small team

·       Good time management; including being punctual, and reliable

·       Own tools, and personal protection equipment
