Clinical Practice Lead - Safe, Thriving & Connected

The Centre for Non-Violence (CNV) is looking for a passionate and experienced Clinical Practice Lead to drive therapeutic excellence across our Safe, Thriving & Connected (STC) program.

About the Role

As Clinical Practice Lead (0.9-1.0 FTE), you will draw on your therapeutic knowledge, sound judgement and collaborative leadership style to strengthen our specialist family violence services. Working alongside senior leaders and therapeutic practitioners, you will create space for reflection and learning, contribute expert guidance in complex situations, and turn practice insights into service improvements. Your strengths will help our teams deliver safe, responsive and evidence informed support that reflects CNV’s values and clinical governance framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Build on the knowledge and strengths of clinicians through reflective supervision, mentoring and shared learning, supporting high-quality therapeutic services for adults, children and young people affected by family violence.
• Champion integrated, anti-oppressive, feminist and trauma-informed practice, helping teams translate these approaches into responsive everyday work.
• Share specialist knowledge through advice and secondary consultation, strengthening the confidence and capability of colleagues and partner organisations.
• Guide collaborative therapeutic decision making, including intervention planning, waitlist and allocation oversight, and connections to the most appropriate programs and supports across the Loddon area.
• Bring curiosity, sound judgement and therapeutic expertise to complex work with children, young people and adults who have experienced family violence.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

• A relevant tertiary qualification that supports therapeutic and clinical practice, such as Social Work, Psychology or an equivalent discipline.
• A collaborative leadership approach and experience helping people grow through supervision, coaching, feedback and reflective practice in complex service environments.
• Strong knowledge of trauma-informed therapeutic practice and experience supporting victim survivors through individual or group work. Experience in related therapeutic settings, including work with adults who use violence, will also be valued.
• The ability to build trusted relationships, work thoughtfully with complexity and turn learning into practical improvements for clients, teams and services.

Mandatory Requirements

• A satisfactory Working with Children’s Check.
• A satisfactory National Criminal History Check.
