Catering & Cleaning Staff Needed ~ GLAICA Ltd Aged Care

GLAICA are seeking reliable, caring and hardworking Catering and Cleaning Staff to join our team at a residential aged-care facility.

Our staff play an important role in maintaining a safe, clean and welcoming environment for our elderly residents.

Catering Staff

We are looking for catering staff who are passionate about preparing and serving nutritious, appealing meals to our residents.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing, plating and serving meals, snacks and beverages according to residents' dietary requirements.

• Following special diets, allergies, texture-modified diets and food preferences.

• Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, food safety and kitchen cleanliness.

• Assisting with meal preparation, food storage and stock rotation.

• Cleaning kitchen equipment, benches, floors and dining areas.

• Following infection-control and workplace health and safety procedures.

• Working respectfully with residents, families and other care staff.

• Ensuring meals are served on time and presented appropriately.

• Expected working shifts are:

  *7.00am - 2.30pm

  *2.30pm - 8.00pm

  *12 noon - 6.00pm

  *9.00am - 5.00pm (limited amount)

Previous experience in aged-care, healthcare, commercial kitchens or institutional catering is highly regarded.

Food Safety knowledge/certification is desirable.

Cleaning Staff

We are looking for dedicated cleaning staff to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the facility.

Key responsibilities include:

• Cleaning resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, dining areas, corridors and staff facilities.

• Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting and sanitising surfaces.

• Cleaning and disinfecting high-touch areas.

• Following infection-prevention and control procedures.

• Correctly using cleaning chemicals, equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Handling waste safely and according to facility procedures.

• Reporting maintenance, safety or hygiene issues to management.

• Respecting residents' privacy, dignity and personal belongings.

• Expected working shifts are: 7am-3pm

Previous cleaning experience, particularly in aged care, healthcare, hospitals, or other regulated environments, is highly regarded.
