About the role
YSCS is looking for an experienced Safeguarding Compliance & Reporting Manager to join our team and help ensure incidents are responded to promptly, appropriately and in accordance with NDIS requirements. You'll help strengthen safeguarding practice across the organisation, support managers when incidents occur, and make sure our systems ultimately do what they are designed to do protect the rights, safety and wellbeing of the people we support.
Key responsibilities
Manage and lodge NDIS reportable incidents through PRODA, including required follow-up reporting within statutory timeframes
Review incidents and support appropriate classification, escalation and regulatory reporting
Coordinate and monitor restrictive practice authorisations and reporting requirements
Provide practical, day-to-day guidance to Service Managers on incident reporting, risk assessments, documentation and safeguarding responses
Work collaboratively with Behaviour Support Practitioners regarding restrictive practices and relevant documentation
Liaise with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission where required
Work alongside HR, Service Delivery, Clinical and Compliance teams on investigations, corrective actions and safeguarding matters
Monitor reporting deadlines and maintain accurate safeguarding and incident-management records
Identify trends and opportunities for service improvement, education and prevention
About you
Experience in incident management, safeguarding, compliance, quality or risk within disability, community services, child and family services, aged care or another regulated human-services environment
Understanding of the NDIS reportable incident and restrictive practice environment
Comfortable managing competing regulatory deadlines
Confidence to guide managers through challenging situations calmly and clearly
