Meat Packer / Labourer

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Meat Packer / Labourer to join the team at Haverick Meats in Botany, NSW. This is a casual position with the opportunity to progress to permanent. In this role, you will be integral to our meat processing operations, ensuring products are prepared, packaged and dispatched to the highest standards. You will work in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail, food safety and efficiency are paramount.

What you'll be doing

• Packing meat products into appropriate packaging materials with precision and care

• Labelling packages with product information and dates in accordance with food safety regulations

• Operating packaging equipment and machinery safely and efficiently

• Maintaining accurate records of production and packaging activities

• Ensuring workstations remain clean, hygienic and organised throughout your shift

• Following food safety and hygiene protocols at all times

• Working collaboratively with team members to meet daily production targets

• Reporting any equipment issues or safety concerns to your supervisor immediately

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in meat processing, food packaging or a similar warehouse environment is highly desirable

• A solid understanding of food safety and hygiene standards, ideally with relevant certification or training

• Physical fitness and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items regularly

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when packing and labelling products

• Strong work ethic and reliability, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

• The ability to follow instructions carefully and work independently or as part of a team

• A proactive approach to health and safety in the workplace

• Willingness to learn and develop your skills in the meat processing industry
